Get-well flowers are a cheerful gesture that says "I'm thinking of you" and "get well soon" without needless words. When someone close is ill or recovering after a procedure, a bright bouquet can bring comfort and add a little positive energy to everyday life. IFIORA is an independent florist with a studio in Mokotów, Warsaw — we arrange every composition by hand and deliver exclusively within Warsaw. Choose a bouquet from the product cards currently shown, add a short message and provide the recipient's address in Warsaw.

This collection stays visible all year round, so it is easy to return for inspiration whenever the need arises. Flowers are a seasonal material, which is why the current selection is always shown by the live product cards, not by this description. This text is not a promise that a specific bouquet, colour or species is in stock right now — it is rather guidance to help you choose get-well flowers for someone who is ill or convalescing.

Get-well flowers: which to choose?

Cheerful, bright flowers in warm, joyful colours work best. Gerberas are associated with a smile and honest joy; sunflowers bring warmth and the symbolism of the sun; tulips are delicate, spring-like and full of freshness. Roses and alstroemerias are also often recommended for people who are recovering. Mixed colourful arrangements in shades of yellow, orange, pink or coral create an impression of energy, hope and optimism — a frequent choice of flowers for someone who is ill, especially when the colours echo the cheerful symbolism of sunflowers and other fresh-looking blooms.

If you prefer a calmer form, lighter, more muted arrangements work well too. Peonies, daffodils or a lotus motif are sometimes associated with recovery and renewal. The colour of the flowers can be the best message without words: vivid tones bring comfort, pastels soothe, and pink flowers communicate care and love. The best guide remains the taste of the person receiving them — choose what will make them happy, not what happens to be fashionable. You will also find inspiration among our bouquets and birthday flowers, and if you prefer an arrangement in a decorative box — in the flowerbox category. It is important that the composition travels well and reaches water quickly.

Flowers for the hospital — what to keep in mind

When choosing flowers for a hospital in Warsaw, it is worth thinking about the recipient's comfort and the facility's rules — pick suitable flowers so that the arrangement is patient-friendly, even when it ends up on a small hospital-room shelf. Compositions without an intense scent work best; in hospitals one avoids flowers with a strong fragrance, because a heavy aroma can be troublesome for a weakened person or their roommates. It is also good for the bouquet to be a compact size, easy to set on a small bedside table and quickly place in water. Safe choices include roses, gerberas, carnations, alstroemerias and lisianthus (eustoma) — the last two are hypoallergenic and safe for people with allergies.

Keep in mind that many hospitals restrict bringing fresh flowers onto some wards — for example intensive care, oncology or transplant wards. That is why, before ordering delivery, it is worth checking the rules of the specific ward. If you are unsure, it is safer to deliver the flowers to the recipient's home or to the hospital reception, from where they will reach the recipient at the first opportunity. We do not promise entry directly to the patient's room — that is decided by the facility's staff. We also remind you that IFIORA delivers exclusively within Warsaw and does not send flowers outside the city.

Get-well wishes — words for the card

With every order you can add a free greeting card with get-well-soon wishes. A few warm sentences can bring more comfort than the bouquet itself. Here are examples you can use or treat as a starting point for your own recovery wishes:

  • "Get well soon! I'm thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed every day."
  • "Plenty of strength, calm and positive energy. Come back to us in full health."
  • "A little sunshine and colour to make this time pass faster. Heal at your own pace."
  • "We are with you in our thoughts. May each day bring more strength and hope."

Words like these can bring a smile, lift the mood and give a little energy to someone who is recovering.

What matters most is that they are sincere wishes and a simple expression of support in difficult moments. A plain message such as "get well and regain your strength" from someone close means more than elaborate phrases.

Frequently asked questions

Can you bring flowers to a hospital?

Usually yes, but it depends on the ward. Some hospitals restrict fresh flowers on selected wards for hygiene reasons. Before delivery, check the facility's rules, and if in doubt choose delivery to the recipient's home or to the hospital reception. A hospital room becomes friendlier when you choose a compact bouquet, and a beautiful arrangement stays small and free of intense scent — fresh flowers should not irritate the patient. Such a choice will surely make the space more welcoming, provided the staff allow flowers on the ward.

Which flowers for a hospital — what to avoid?

Avoid flowers with an intense, heavy scent, such as lilies, and very large arrangements. If you are wondering which flowers to choose, it is better to go for a cheerful, compact bouquet without a strong fragrance — for example gerberas, tulips or colourful arrangements in bright shades. Roses or carnations also work well if you want to pick the best option for a hospital.

How do you wish someone a speedy recovery?

Best kept short and sincere. For the occasion of getting well, simple words and sincere wishes work best. A sentence such as "get well soon, I'm thinking of you" or "lots of strength and positive energy" is enough. Such a message can be an expression of care and support rather than just a formal note — and we will write it on the free card attached to the bouquet. Wishes like these can also give the recipient some energy.

What words of comfort for someone who is ill?

Good words of comfort are calm and full of support — they make the person feel the presence and care of loved ones. You can write "I am with you in my thoughts", "regain your strength at your own pace" or "I'm keeping my fingers crossed every day". Sincerity and the presence of a close person matter more than the form.
