After winter, the eyes are starved for colour, and this bouquet feeds them from the very first glance. Yellow mingles with pink so intensely that even a cloudy day seems brighter. The flowers have one job: to light up the room and the face of whoever receives them. Set it in a vase on the kitchen table, and breakfasts will start to taste like a morning in May. It's a fine way to welcome spring, to sweeten a winter that drags on for someone, or to lift a day that's simply short on light.
