Pastels have a quiet strength of their own. In this arrangement we set powdery rose shades against notes of purple and cream, until a palette emerges as soft as morning light in a bedroom. No colour shouts; they all talk to one another in an undertone. The box feels at home on a dressing table, a chest of drawers, a table — bringing a little calm wherever it goes. We set the flowers in water-soaked foam, so the arrangement is ready to hand and asks for nothing but a little attention every few days. A gift for people with a sensitive eye.
