Spring wrapped in a round white box: tulips in every colour and daffodils threaded with sprigs of solidago, and among the flowers a wooden egg painted with an Easter pattern. An arrangement like this brightens the holiday table without crowding the serving dishes — it keeps a compact form and needs no vase. The scent is light, barely there, so it won't get in the way over dinner. Set in floral foam, the flowers stay fresh right through the holiday; just add a little water every two or three days. It works at home and in an office waiting room — anywhere spring should arrive first.
