Red on pink plays tone on tone — instead of shouting, this composition speaks in a half-voice. The powder-pink box softens the intensity of the red roses and lends the whole a girlish lightness, which makes the gift suit both the start of a relationship and a confession that has long waited for its moment. We arrange the roses densely until they form a soft, uniform cushion of colour. No vase and no fuss required: the finished composition goes straight onto a side table, while the foam inside keeps the flowers fresh for many days.
